Lucid Dream Readiness
Five questions. A band, and one practice to start.
Question 1 of 5
A planning aid based on what you report. It does not measure your sleep, and it does not mean you will lucid dream.
What the band is reading
Dream recall is worth 30 points, because noticing a dream depends on remembering one. A daytime check and a regular sleep schedule are worth 20 each. Having noticed a dream before, and setting an intention before sleep, are worth 15 each.
75 to 100 is Ready. 40 to 74 is Building. Under 40 is Early. If recall is once or twice a week, or almost never, the practice is recall even when another answer also scored low.
The one practice
Low recall points at writing dreams down. An irregular schedule points at a steadier wake time, so the last, dream-rich cycle is easier to predict. No daytime check points at one pause today: look at your hands, or read a short line twice. No intention points at a single sentence before sleep.
A higher band points at the journal. Mark the nights you noticed you were dreaming. The result still does not mean you will lucid dream.
What this does not do
It does not measure your sleep, and it does not train you inside the dream. It reads five habits and names one next step. People improve at different speeds, and some nights stay ordinary even when the habits are solid.
It is not medical advice. If sleep itself is the problem, start with the sleep calculators, or talk with a doctor.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the lucid dream readiness quiz work?
It asks about dream recall, whether you have noticed a dream from inside it, daytime checks, how regular your sleep is, and whether you set an intention before sleep. The answers add up to a band: Early, Building, or Ready. The line under the band is the single practice that would move you most.
Does a Ready result mean I will lucid dream?
No. Ready means the habits that make noticing more likely are already in place. It is not a promise about tonight, and it is not a measure of how well you control a dream.
Why does low recall come first?
You cannot notice a dream you do not remember. If you rarely remember dreams, the result sends you to recall before reality checks or intention. The dream recall calculator scores that habit on its own.
What is a daytime check?
Once or twice in the day, pause and ask whether you are dreaming. Look at your hands, or read a short line of text twice. The point is a habit you can also do inside a dream, where the answer is often strange enough to notice.
Low recall starts with the dream recall calculator. An irregular schedule starts with the sleep cycle calculator or the sleep debt calculator. The lucid dreaming guide and your journal are where a higher band goes next.
